Pwllheli Golf Club trophies
There is no great instrinsic value in these items, which are golf trophies won by my great-grandfather Thomas Lee Manchester who was a founding member and captain of Pwllheli golf club.
The bowl is the club's Aggregate Prize for 1902, which bears the inscriptions "Pwllheli Golf Club AGGREGATE PRIZE 1902 Presented by G.F.PEARSON" and "WON BY T.L.MANCHESTER". The two tankards are the Andrews Cup trophies for 1908 and 1909.
You may wonder why I bother showing them here, which is a fair point, but they serve as a kind of corroboration for the information on my family history pages. They were quite difficult to photograph without getting my own reflection in the way, which helps explain why I haven't done a very good job of it.
